The "&" between Computers & Society
Welcome to the website of the Chair of Computers and Society at Technische Universität Berlin.
Who we are
Societal questions at the intersections between computer science, economics, and the law have for long times been the subject of teaching and research at the chair "Computers & Society" at TU Berlin. In the past, questions of IT security, open source software, and IP rights have been the main focus of the chair.
After long years, the chair is in the state of replacement since late 2009. Until the respective proceedings are completed, the duties of the chair are fulfilled by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Pallas and Max-Robert Ulbricht.

What we do
For 20 years we have been actively dealing with the issues raised by the emerging information society. Our focus lies interdisciplinarily with computer science, law, economics, and politics. Aside from our academic teaching and research activities we cooperate firmly with administration offices and business partners in real-life projects.
